The Ugg-ly Truth.

Let’s face it, while I post many pictures of high heels here, that’s not to say that I can necessarily wear them all (or uhh… even most) anymore. To be honest with you, I spend the majority of my days kicking around in none other than various Uggs.

Now, when your computer tries to autocorrect the brand name of your shoes from ‘Ugg’ to ‘Ugh’, there may be a problem.

Which is why I was thrilled, ecstatic, over-the-moon (yes, I am currently at a point in my life where such things make me jump for joy… judge as you may…) to discover the Lake Como Retreat Spring Collection for Ugg.

Combining the comfort of Ugg and the glamour (and designer prices - eek!) of Italy, for those with chronic pain this might just be the ticket!

Now if only insurance paid for them… xx

Ps - that shoe was definitely my favorite, but was of course the highest-heel of the lot. Go figure…

Because There’s 6 More Weeks of Winter…

Any sufferer of chronic pain can tell you that as soon as those temperatures start to drop… usually so do our spirits.

What we usually can’t seem to quite accurately get across to non-sufferers is just how terribly painful and uncomfortable our winters really are. So no need to make them any bleaker with boring accessories, am I right?!

I’ve found - and subsequently convinced those obligated to buy me Birthday/Christmas presents - that the secret to comfort and protection from the cold is all in the extras and accessories. You know: layering is key…the devil is in the detail. That sort of thing.

And being from the Caribbean, rest assured that I’m finding the warmest looking things out there. So what’s on the current (yet incredibly unrealistic) wish list?

(Let Image 2 stand as Exhibit A that I many have gotten a little over-excited at Polyvore’s ability to grab any item of fantasy clothing I wanted…)

For Chronic Pain Sufferers, winter may suck. But hey… at least we now get (many) lovely options, right?
