FIFTY SHADES OF YOU:
As we approach Valentine’s Day, take some time to remember that YOU are ultimately always number one. So, put yourself 1st! Love yourself and just let it be.
Take a break inspired by the above picture. You deserve it! If anyone could use a little time, it’s you. We could probably all slow down a bit.
I understand that you’re kind - a natural-born giver, perhaps a caregiver. But, if you’re exhausted and worn out, in what way does this serve anyone? Take a break! Remember YOURSELF! Return grounded and centered. Love yourself and the love for others will double-up. You’ll see!
Hope that you’re well! Lots of love - Danielle xx

Consider it pure joy - my brothers and sisters - whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”/ James 1:1-3

You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self. Don’t turn away from possible futures before you’re certain you don’t have anything to learn from them. You’re always free to change your mind and choose a different future, or a different past.” / Richard Bach, Illusions
12(ish) Days of Christmas Goals to a Happier, Healthier You!
Day 2: Be courageous! Take the road less travelled. Surprise yourself! Free-will is a human right. So, why not exercise it?
I feel as though this works for both normal life and “patient” life. What’s the point of continuing down the same path if it’s not working for you? Take a risk! Try something new. As scary as it might be: “guinea-pig-yourself”. Hell, it might just work. And if not? Put your free-will back into overdrive! As Bach says, “You’re always free to change your mind”.
Don’t allow your happiness to get tied up with complications…
If it sounds simple. It can be.

Happy Feet Take Flight!
I’ve been in and out the hospital since my last big post, for a series of ketamine boosters to help with a wave of pain that was starting to crest.
Hallelujah that’s over, and now my happy little feet are on their way down home to Trinidad for the Holidays.
See you down there…
Ps: for any advice* on pain management and flying (and unfortunately, it’s just advice! Although I feel as though I should have an honorary phD at this point, I don’t! I am by no means a doctor!) feel free to contact me via Disqus comments down below, email (theprojecte3x5@gmail.com) or twitter (@theproject3x5). I’m always happy to help where I can! xx

For unwitting and stubborn young teenagers who obviously (duh) know everything about the world and all that it has to offer, it’s amazing how efficiently the human body has evolved into somehow finding a way to shut adolescent earlobes when a “crazy” uncle, “annoying” parent, or “stupid” teacher begins to speak about the fact that it actually sort of, kind of takes a lot of hard work to become a success.
What I mean to say is - that in today’s era of reality tv and seemingly never-ending quickie make-me-a-star competition shows, the magic of smoke and mirrors, along with a little strategic lighting, tend to make dreams look as though they’ve come extremely easily.
Of course I’m generalizing (and of course there are amazing television shows with crazy talent…) but does no one else yearn for the days of, “I came to America with 2 dollars in my pocket, and look at me now…” success stories, over the cackling Kardashians? (Or the kackling Kardashians, rather.)
We’d all be far more inspired, no?
I realize this has all been tv-talk, but it doesn’t stop there. Not everyone is headed to Hollywood, of course! However, this crazy idea of achieving one’s absolute ultimate goal easily in 6 months or so, continues to pop up within society today. It’s the trickle down effect at it’s absolute finest!
And so, the quote pictured above, “Dreams don’t work unless you do,” perfectly represents the “old-school” mentality - if you will (!) - that I believe we should be striving to return to if we want our inspired society back. How symbolic that it should be painted on stairs! I love that! Dreams are indeed an uphill climb, which only works to make them so much more satisfying once attained.
And that’s the point!
So, get out there and be passionate about something.
Make your dreams come true!
Be well & pain free! Loads of love, Danielle xx

Just Spotted…
This welcome little memo symbolizes to me that life is precious, and puts into words almost perfectly the slower pace we live at in my precious Trinidad & Tobago (ps: if you’re into surfing/fishing check out Josh’s latest YouTube video for a visual slice of our island life.)
In fact, I had to pinch myself - albeit very, very, very softly… - as a reminder that I had instead spotted these incredibly wise words on the menu cover at Chicago’s Park Hyatt.
Both science and alternative treatment sources these days will agree that stress has the potential to increase pain and bring about sickness. Whether causing fatigue, chronic pain & headaches, anxiety, or memory loss - the effects of stress (with this list showing very few of the symptoms) can be devastating.
So…
Let this little reminder allow you to take pause. STOP! Think of what’s important. Clear the clutter. LIVE MINDFULLY!
And when you have a second, read my girl Jordan Reid’s post on Savoring the Moment over at Ramshackle Glam. As she is, it’s pretty wonderful. As she says, “That’s An Order”.
